                                                                           *About Us*

Our group researched the memorials of the Civil War. In our group was Emily, Aliyah, Destiney and Ashley. We are all eighth graders at Anthony Wayne Junior High School. For this project that was assigned by our teacher Ms. Wilber, we had to pick a topic about the Civil War. Our group was given the topic Civil War Memorials. This was a very interesting topic to research. We all decided to just do 10 different memorials, one memorial for each state. For this project we all had different roles and different states to research. The roles are listed below.

                                                                            -Roles-

Emily- I researched the states of Colorado, Florida, and Massachusetts. I found alot of good and interesting information about some of the memorials in each of those states, and it was easy to put that information on the wiki page. I also found some cool pictures and quotes that some of the memorials read on them. Over all I think this was a fun project and I learned alot of new and useful information. A little information about myself is that I am an eighth grader at Anthony Wayne Junior High. I am thirteen years old and my birthday is July 2, 1995. I have one older sister who goes to Anthony Wayne Highschool. My sister's name is Abby and she is a sophomore. My favorite color is pink and my favorite sport is soccer. :)

Aliyah- I researched the states of: New Mexico, Kansas, and Tennessee. These three states that I researched were very interesting and are all known for the different events that happened there. I also found many amazing pictures and facts about each site. My favorite monument to research was Fort Donelson in Tennessee because even though it was not the bloodiest battle it was one of the most important ones of the Civil War. I also like that there is a visitor's center to find out more information about it.

Destiney- I researched the states of Washington D.C. and South Carolina. These two states that I researched were very interesting and had a lot of meaning to go along with the memorial. There were also great pictures to go with the memorial to give you a perfect visual view of the memorial itself. Overall it was a easy way to research and put the information in the correct place, but I believe this was a fun way to learn a lot of new information. A little more information I'm an eighth grader at Anthony Wayne. I am 15 and have one younger brother who attends Fallen Timbers but we are soon to advance to new schools. He's  soon to attend Anthony Wayne Jr. High and myself Anthony Wayne High School or possibly Central Catholic?! Well i play two sports one is basketball and the second is soccer =) Not to mention my favorite color is lime green. Well thats all.

Ashley- I researched the states Pennsylvania and Virgina.  The states I researched played some roles in the Civil War. As u can see my name is Ashley Pryce. Im 13. My favorite colors are red and lavender. I am an African- American (black). I like to play sports, talk and kick it with family and friends. My favorite romantic movie is Twilight. I also like to read. I am a crazy Harry Potter fan. I have read the last three books of it and seen the rest of the movies. Thats pretty much it. Also I'm cool person to have fun with.
